Mahila Industrial Training Institute, Jodhpur has been established with an objective of ensuring a steady flow of skilled women to reduce unemployment amongst the educated girls by equipping them with required discipline, education and skill for suitable indsutrial employment as well as self-employment. Also enable them to identify and enhance their multifaceted talents with firm and focused mind with an eye to equipy themselved to face future challenges of global competitions. It has been set-up under the Craftsman Training Scheme affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), throught the Directorate General of employment and Training (DGE&T), Govt. of India under the ministry of Labour, New Delhi. It has been established on Februarty 8th, 1990 in the premises of production center and later shifted to its own campus on Shri Krishna Janmastmi of Vikram Samvat 2058, Sukla Chaturdashi of Magha in Pushya Nakshtr i.e. August 12th, 2001.
